THIRTY SEVEN years have elaspsed since a memorable milestone was
passed in the life
of the Canberra Assembly - the construction of the chapel in mid
July, 1967.
We take this oppurtunity to
reflect on the goodness of the Lord to so many believers who,
since the establishment of Canberra as the National Seat of
Government, not only have
sought to establish or share in the Assembly testimony but also
have made a significant contribution to spiritual life in the
city.
As in much of family life, there
have doubtless been times of discouragement but the recollection
of periods of rich blessing and encouragement and the many lives
who
have had a real experience of conversion draws from our hearts
praise and thanksgiving
to God.
